A lot of games go under the radar at E3 and one such game is Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. A 3ds remake of a 2011 DS game (Radiant Historia), the title has been updated with voice acting, improved sound and visuals, and a new scenario in the story. The title has a June 29th release date in Japan and has been confirmed for the West, with an early 2018 release date. A limited edition version has also been confirmed for Japan. Let’s hope it makes it to the West as well.
To be honest, I don’t have masses of experience playing JRPGs but I know the original Radiant Historia achieved good reviews and even drew comparisons to the classic, Chrono Trigger. This alone gets me excited for the updated Radiant Historia remake. Chrono Trigger (in my opinion) is the pinnacle of JRPGs, with its awesome 16 bit aesthetic, amazing atmospheric music and active battle system (even though this system is definitely ‘old’ by now). But I digress, the 3ds has an awesome collection of JRPGs and I’m sure Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology will be another gem in its catalogue.
